What an awesome prayer book! This book is wonderful for everyone, but especially for those like me who may need a bit of guidance with their daily prayers. It is invaluable for those who are curious about how to start praying daily, as well as those who are dedicated prayer veterans. This little book is a gem. It's small enough to fit in your coat pocket or bag and is quite handsome. It has leather binding, comes with a black satin bookmark, has gold edges and the title and a Celtic cross are stamped on the front cover in gold. What's really gold, though, is that this book offers a short and simple way to pray the daily offices (morning, noon, evening, and compline) in a simple way. If, like me, you have found daily office books like Benedictine Daily Prayer or the Anglican Breviary to be too complex, Hour by Hour is for you. All the readings you need are included. No flipping through the book is required, nor do you need a Bible or other supplemental books. There is also a section of other prayers in the back--seasonal prayers, occasional prayers, and familiar prayers.
This offices in this book are brief and for some people they won't be enough. But using this book has given me a daily prayer routine and it has been invaluable.

Simplest clearest prayer hours book I have ever used. This little volume is a great pocket size. Nice thick cream paper, with great layout and design. Sewn binding for durability. The leather cover is glossy and firm. It is essentially a leather bound hardcover, but it is very well done. Highly recommended! -Ryan J. Carter
The really great feature in is this devotional book is its ability to fill in the gaps between seasons of the church, especially if you are using another form of the liturgy of the hours that may not have the days between Christmas and the beginning of Lent, for example. It is well written and has additional prayers. I recommend it for clergy or anyone wanting to deepen their devotional life. -Pastor Ron Nelson
